URGENT Signature Required by tomorrow (2/27/26) if you oppose Dept of Ed excluding nursing
Posted 8 days ago by Anthony Good
Good Evening,
I’m reaching out because we need LHNPA’s voice to help correct a major oversight by the Department of Education.
Currently, the Department is proposing a rule that excludes Nurse Practitioners and post-baccalaureate nursing from the definition of a "professional degree program." This isn't just a clerical error; it’s a direct hit to the status of our profession and the hard work our students put into their advanced education.
AANP and the Nursing Community Coalition are leading a joint comment letter to fight this, and our goal is to have an NPO from every single state represented. LHNPA isn’t on the list yet, and we can’t let this deadline pass without our region being heard.
Please use the link below to sign on by Friday, February 27: Sign the Nursing Community Coalition Letter Here
The link above also includes a full copy of the letter for your review. Thank you for standing with us to ensure our profession gets the recognition it deserves.
Best regards,
