The Lorrie Borrell Outstanding Nurse Practitioner Award was established in 2019 to honor Lorrie Borrell, the founder and first president of Laurel Highlands Nurse Practitioner Association.
The award is to be presented annually to a nurse practitioner who has been proactive in protecting and enhancing the role of the nurse practitioner in the Laurel Highlands regional area.
-We plan to present this award at our Annual Conference (April 19,2024)
Criteria for eligibility:
- Must be an active member of PCNP and Laurel Highlands Nurse Practitioner Association.
- Actively participates in community service (i.e. involvement with community public education, involvement with local organizations, involvement with health care legislation, other volunteer activities)
- Demonstrates active participation in the Laurel Highlands Nurse Practitioner Association as either an officer, active committee member, or other volunteer position in the association.
- Engages in activities that promote the nurse practitioner profession.
